Sitecore Upgrade Assessment

A fixed-scope review that tells you whether to upgrade in place, migrate to SitecoreAI, or wait, and what each road costs in effort and risk.

Who it is for

Teams on Sitecore 9.x or 10.x whose version is in extended support or past it, and teams weighing SitecoreAI (formerly XM Cloud) against an in-place upgrade. Not sure where your version stands? See Sitecore support dates.

What we look at

  • Your version, topology and hosting model, against Sitecore's support dates
  • Customizations, modules and connectors, and which ones block an upgrade
  • XP features in use (xDB, marketing automation, EXM) versus what SitecoreAI offers
  • Front end: MVC, SXA or headless, and what a headless rebuild would involve
  • Content and serialization: TDS, Unicorn or Sitecore Content Serialization
  • Integrations, CI/CD and the .NET and Azure stack around the platform

What you get

  • A written recommendation: upgrade in place to 10.4 or 10.5, migrate to SitecoreAI, or wait
  • An inventory of what you run and what each item means for the move
  • An effort range and a risk register for the recommended road
  • A 60 minute walkthrough with the consultant who did the work

How long it takes

Two to three weeks. We need about four to six hours of your team's time for access and questions.

What happens next

The report is yours either way. If you want Sitefluence to do the upgrade or migration, that is quoted separately, with no obligation.
